The British Science Association's Tayside and Fife Branch's free public lecture series presents: 'The internet of things: building a connected world'

The growth in wireless communication hints at a future in which familiar home appliances will interconnect to enable information exchange and decision-making based on data from multiple devices. This may offer a Utopia of radical automation, domestic management, healthcare and just-in-time production, but can we achieve a robust and reliable interconnected world, with immunity from tampering and service breakdown?
