Andrea Travaglini, curator of historic zoological collections at the Naples Aquarium, Italy, will discuss the origins and aims of the Statione Zoologica di Napoli (SZN) one of the first saltwater aquariums to be established in Europe. Using stunning photographs from the from the SZN Archive he will discuss the important scientists and their activities which helped make the SZN one of the world’s most famous marine biological institutions.
