This will take place as part of the Newcastle University Family Challenge Please note that this session involves human skeletal material and can only be offered at the University. We provide consent forms that must be signed by parents in advance of the session.

The Archaeology of Human Bones
13. Description of the core message of your event and key topics to be covered (c.100 words): 
This workshop will introduce osteoarchaeology, the study of human remains. Participants will look at the ageing and sexing of human remains, before looking at remains from slave cemeteries to explore what they reveal and the history and horror of slavery.
