Delivery policy
There are several possible methods of delivery for goods and tickets purchased through BRITISHSCIENCEASSOCIATION.ORG. These can vary depending on the event and the available options. We will be able to show you the options during the purchase process. This will determine how and when you receive your tickets. Please note that CREST Award and CREST Star Investigator orders/goods are handled through CREST Local Coordinators and not through the British Science Association’s Paypal arrangements.

Goods delivery policy
Orders are dispatched on a 48 hour delivery service, however due to varying demand you should allow four working days for orders to be dispatched. Orders for delivery to the UK are sent by first class post and will normally arrive on the next working day after dispatch. Orders for delivery to other countries are sent by air mail and can normally be expected to arrive within seven days. However we ask that you allow 14 days from dispatch before contacting customer services.

UK deliveries
Standard service costs £3.95 per order up to the value of £15,
£5.95 per order value between £15 and £100,
£8.95 per order between £100 and £200 and £12.95 for orders over £200 for the UK mainland.

Europe deliveries
Any parcels for dispatch to European countries, including offshore destinations will cost £12.95 for orders up to the value of £15, with further increases as set out in the table below. Deliveries to all other countries not in Europe will be subject to the costs for Overseas Deliveries, as set out below. The appropriate charge will automatically be added to your order at Check Out when you confirm your delivery address.

Overseas deliveries
Overseas orders will be sent by air. The cost for dispatching goods overseas is £19.50 for orders up to the value of £15, with further increases as set out in the table below. The appropriate charge will automatically be added to your order at Check Out when you confirm your delivery address.

There may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK. BRITISHSCIENCEASSOCIATION.ORG is not responsible for paying these charges.

Please note that BRITISHSCIENCEASSOCIATION.ORG will only deliver orders to the billing address of the credit card used for purchase.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

Cancellation / returns policy

Ticket refund policy
All sales are final. A full refund of the purchase price, excluding shipping charges, will be given for cancelled events. To qualify for a refund, the buyer must return their tickets to the British Science Association within 2 weeks of notice from the British Science Association offering the buyer the opportunity to return their tickets. No refunds will be given without the original tickets, unless otherwise determined by the British Science Association in its sole discretion. Postponed or rescheduled events will not be refunded. The British Science Association, in its sole discretion, will determine when an event is cancelled.

For the Science Communication Conference the buyer will receive a full refund minus 15% for administrative costs if s/he sends a cancellation request up to a month before the start date of the conference. From a month before until bookings close the buyer will receive a 50% refund and there will be no refund for cancellations after bookings close.
Event date, times, venue and subject matter may change. We are not always notified if a show is postponed, rescheduled or cancelled. It will be the buyer's responsibility to monitor the event and to confirm any changes to the event with the entity putting on the event. In certain instances, a venue, promoter, or any entity putting on the event will require a ticket holder to relocate his or her seat. The British Science Association shall not be held responsible for any such change and will not be obligated to provide a refund or any other compensation.

Goods returns policy
If you decide you no longer wish to keep the goods you have purchased we will refund, exchange or offer a credit note for the product(s) if you return the goods, at your own expense, unopened, within 28 days of receiving your order. Where goods are faulty, or were sent in error, we will refund any postage costs you incur returning the items.
It is your responsibility to return items to us; we recommend recorded delivery or Royal Mail special delivery. We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to goods whilst they are being returned.

All returned goods will be examined upon receipt. We are unable to offer refunds, replacements or exchanges on any opened or used goods. We will process your return as quickly as possible and will notify you by email once your refund, replacement or exchange has been processed, no later than seven working days after we have received the goods. Please note that delivery charges are not refunded. Without exception, we will not accept returns on open or used items, unless the item is faulty.
Refunds will be made to the card that was used in the original purchase or a cheque made payable to the cardholder if the card is no longer valid. In the case of cheque payment a cheque will be issued payable to the original customer. You must follow our instructions for returning goods (see below).

Instructions for returning goods
Include the delivery note or a copy of your email invoice with the goods, and details about why you are returning the goods.
