Meet the x-change volunteers

Alison Cryan, 21

What you are currently doing?

After the Festival I'll be starting my final year of Biology with French at the University of Sheffield, after spending this past year studying in France.

Why you are excited about volunteering for the x-change?

I'm really looking forward to seeing all the bits that make up the x-change show come together - everything from running around Newcastle in our neon pink t-shirts putting up posters, through to totally nerding out while watching some incredible science speakers and demonstrations.

Who would be your perfect guest?

David Attenborough. He'd be narrating a beautifully filmed nature documentary live on stage, maybe even with a bit of a live music soundtrack in the background. Utter magic.

Tell us a fun fact about you…

A few years ago I played Tracy Turnblad in a stage version of "Hairspray!" wearing a full-on fat suit, with a beehive wig and plenty of 60's dancing!
