CREST Awards new pricing structure

CREST Awards represent excellent value for money and we have striven to keep the costs of registration for the awards affordable.  In the last 8 years we have managed to subsidise the awards and make savings in the management of the scheme, but in order to maintain the scheme's quality we will need to raise the registration costs for the new academic year.

As of the 25th August 2014 the revised CREST pricing will be:
Discovery £3.00
Bronze £5.00
Silver £10.00
Gold £20.00
The registration fee covers:
• Access to the CREST profile forms, support documents and recording systems
• Access to further project ideas and support (website based)
• Certificates on completion of the project work

From CREST Local Coordinators, assistance including:
• Suggestions of where to find mentors in industry or higher education
• Advice on the best ways to use the scheme with students, shaping projects to give  them the greatest likelihood of success
• Advice on assessment at Bronze level
• Assessment of awards at Silver and Gold level
• Newsletters and sources of information on resources, funding and potential  sponsorship opportunities
• Information on STEM and CREST regional/national events

The value of the CREST Awards scheme is greater than ever before, with recent developments offering more options to submit, a greater range of link schemes, project ideas and a variety of opportunities to celebrate students’ work.
We recognise that budgets remain under pressure, and the CREST team will continue to highlight opportunities for schools or groups to source funding to support their CREST related activity. Current information and sources include:
• National Science & Engineering Week funding guides
• The Royal Society Partnership Grants
• STEM Clubs guides to finding funding
