STEM Directories

The STEM Online Directories have been created in direct response to teachers’ needs. They comprise a collection of schemes and activities provided by organisations from across the UK that aim to enhance and enrich the curriculum.

These schemes are usually based around events or experiences that cannot be delivered with standard school contexts and resources. Each activity is linked to the curriculum so that the impact of the experiences and outcomes can be sustained.

The British Science Association has been part of a consortium with the Royal Institution and UWE, Bristol to produce the STEM Directories for the Department for Education covering all national and regional enhancement and enrichment activity in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

What to do next?

Teachers, if you have used enhancement and enrichment schemes (such as CREST) then your views and comments are needed! Just visit the website explore the scheme listings section and add your feedback on any of the entries. Your input is highly valued.

For teachers new to STEM enhancement and enrichment, or in need of fresh ideas, explore the entries to discover possibilities that may fit in with enrichment and enhancement in your school or college.

Organisations and providers of STEM enhancement and enrichment activities should visit the STEM Directories website and complete the online questionnaire to promote your scheme or activities. If you have already submitted activities then please link to the site and encourage teachers to submit their feedback on your activities.
