New CREST Star activity from Horners

The Worshipful Company of Horners are back with another CREST Star Primary age student polymer activity. This time ‘Dr. Polly Mur’ needs your help to solve a lunch time wrapping problem. Which cling film is the strongest to use? Or which is the stickiest? Is foil better? Students get to help Polly investigate and decide in this new SuperStar addition to the CREST Star bank of over 80 activities.

We first met Polly, a scientist at Horners, last year when she needed our help to find new uses for polymer materials. Her Polymer problem, also translated into Welsh,  is available as a free resource in the sample activities section of the CREST Star webpages.

Don’t forget you can sign up for CREST Star online resources and get even get free subscription if you have previously bought CREST Star science investigation packs anytime since 2008,. Sign up in the registration section before 31st July to avail.
