“My Gold Award project gave me the opportunity to request 3 weeks extra work experience in Analytical R&D at Pfizer, Sandwich. I worked on HPLC methods of analysis of drug compounds and their degradation products. It helped me get a summer vacation placement in the department in the holiday before starting university. It was all good experience, I worked with nice people, learned a lot about separation techniques and realised that chemistry would be an ideal choice of degree subject for me.”
