Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow Science Centre offers two workshops that could count towards the CREST Star Investigators award scheme, as well as an array of exciting workshops, live science shows, glittering star shows and early years’ activities – all enhanced by three floors of interactive exhibits. Everything is hands-on and carefully designed to fit the needs of learners from pre-school through to primary and secondary school pupils.

Minibeasts Sorted (Star award)
Fascinated by invertebrates? Learn more about our creepy crawly companions when you meet our resident beasties ranging from wiggly worms to giant African snails. Explore their features and learn how to group them using our big interactive sorting key.
This activity promotes powers of observation, the use of comparative language and it helps develop an appreciation of the natural world.
Car-azy Circuits (SuperStar award)
The challenge is on… Participants work collaboratively to design, build and race their own electrically powered car-azy cars! Learn how to construct a simple circuit and solve all the design challenges of building the most aerodynamic car possible from a recyclable resources.
The workshop will specifically highlight the need to analyze problems, plan approaches, develop ideas and create and test solutions within a team.
