National Space Centre

The National Space Centre is the UK’s largest visitor attraction dedicated to space and space exploration. Come to the National Space Centre and take part in one of their Education programmes, including space theatre shows, tailored workshops, or simulated space missions. A range of curriculum focused programmes, careers events, teacher CPD opportunities and other resources are available.

The National Space Centre has a wide variety of interactive hands on galleries containing everything you need to know about Space including: How Stars are formed, What is gravity like on other planets? What is it like to be an Astronaut? When visiting the Space Centre galleries you can focus your students' attention on the exhibits and how they relate to what they are learning by using one of the exhibition trails.

As part of your visit you will also have a Space Theatre Show included. In the 360 degree theatre, experience one of their amazing and interactive shows all about Space.

Rockets (SuperStar)
You can find out about Forces through our Rockets workshop. By designing and launching air powered rockets children are taught how different forces work and in particular Newton’s third law. Using action and reaction children can see why rockets take off. Students design, make and launch their very own rocket which they will be able to take home with them.
