Antarctic Travels

A Cafe Scientifique presentation by Vivien Irish, Engineer, about visiting Antarctica on a walking holiday.  There is only one place that this is allowed and the speaker will explain some of the technological hazards the 21st century traveller faces including landing aeroplanes on a blue ice runway; living in a tent on a glacier; suitable clothing and footwear; and the management of sanitary arrangements
