Celebrating chemistry for health, wealth and happiness

Professor Lesley J. Yellowlees, President of the Royal Society of Chemistry will deliver this talk on Wednesday 20th March, 7pm, D’Arcy Thompson Lecture Theatre, University of Dundee

In partnership with RSC Tayside Section and Dundee Women in Science Festival

Abstract

Life in the UK has been considerably enriched by Chemistry – vivid colours, a huge variety of foodstuffs, warm houses, eradication of many diseases. However, in order to maintain our standard of living and to better that of others Chemistry needs to find solutions for current global challenges such as energy and water. This lecture will celebrate and challenge Chemistry.
