The Cumbrian Sky at Night

Wednesday, 20 March, 2013 - 19:00 to 21:00

We shall be opening the observatory to the public so that visitors can view objects in the night sky through the 16 inch telescope which is housed in it. There will also be other telescopes in the grounds to use. Astronomers will show visitors the night sky and point out the constellations and other interesting objects on show and answer questions. Should the weather not cooperate a talk will be given showing visitors the work that amateur astronomers take part in and some of the results obtained.
