Discovering Decomposers: A chance to join us in a hunt for minibeasts and make your own ginger beer!

Saturday, 23 March, 2013 - 11:00 to 14:00

All the family are welcome to discover decomposers at Newport Wetlands. Get up close with the undergrowth and discover how minibeasts and fungi break down materials to enrich our environment. This is change for young ones to explore habitats and learn about insects and for the grown ups to pick up some new nature knowledge. As well as discovering natures own decomposers you'll finish by making your own ginger beer or lemonage by using a well known decomposer you might find in the kitchen. Be sure to wear clothing fit for outdoors!
