Journey to the Centre of the Brain

Tuesday, 15 January, 2013 - 10:00 to Monday, 1 April, 2013 - 15:00
“I wasn’t expecting that, it was amazing! It took theatre to another level” Teacher, Swindon Primary School. The world is struggling to come up with new ideas, even the greatest brains are incapable of thought. Something has gone terribly wrong and only a team of intrepid explorers can find out what is really happening. But first… we need to shrink them down in size, so they can begin their Journey to the Centre of the Brain! On our larger-than-life-sized quest through the brain we explore what is happening inside our skull. “You’re fantastic! I loved joining in; it helped to understand it better. Thank you for everything you have taught us.” Year 4 Pupil, Kent. We aim to replicate the workings of a human brain in the environment of the school hall, discovering its potential, and finding out what makes it tick. The show incorporates actors, children, design, puppetry, music and above all… imagination! Suitable for Years 3 to 6. Details. A day of 2 performances is offered at the subsidised rate of £200.00. A day of Journey to the Centre of the Brain in your school includes the following: · 2 performances – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. · 1 teachers resource pack. · 2 free places on a Creative Approach to Science twilight INSET session taking place in your local area, alongside the tour. Each performance is suitable for a maximum of 2 classes and due to the nature of the performance we will require a hall space.
