Nature Party and Open Day

Moorbank Botanic Garden are holding an Open Day and Nature Party in aid of the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday 17th March, from 1pm to 4pm. Come along and meet a range of our partners and take part in activities such as bird box making, pond dipping, seed planting and lots more. We’ll also be running a tour of the garden, so you can learn about the plants we collect, there will be indoor and outdoor plants for sale, and plenty of tea and cake! A perfect Sunday afternoon!
All entry proceeds go to the National Garden Scheme charities: http://www.ngs.org.uk/ All activities will be free to take part in. For more information, see our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/moorbank or email Helen Talbot on Helen.talbot2@newcastle.ac.uk
Moorbank Botanic Garden is located ¾mile from Newcastle Haymarket. It is at the top of Claremont Rd, just next to the Cat & Dog Shelter. We have a shared entrance with the Town Moor Superintendents Farm (black gate). It’s about 20 minutes walk up Claremont Rd from the main University campus. No parking is available in garden, but there is plenty of parking on Claremont Road just outside. Once parked, please use the black pedestrian gate and cross the yard to the glasshouses. It will be clearly signposted on the day.
