Nuclear Fusion - Future Energy Source
Wednesday, 2 October, 2013 - 19:00 to 20:30
A Cafe Scientifique talk by Rachel Dance. Fusion power offers the prospect of an almost inexhaustible and sustainable source of energy for future generations, but it presents great scientific and engineering challenges. The York Plasma Institute at the University of York Department of Physics is part of a worldwide network of physicists and engineers in the field of fusion (and related) research. Rachel Dance is studying for a PhD in Inertial Confinement Energy as part of the Fusion Doctoral Training Network at The University of York. This is an opportunity to discover more about the work of a member of the research team and the field of fusion research as a whole.
