Spire engineering! (For years 5 and 6)

Monday, 11 March, 2013 - 10:00 to 14:30

Date: Monday March 11th 2013 10.00-2.30 pm. An action-packed day full of investigation and discovery, inspired by the 1861 collapse of Chichester Cathedral's spire. Transformed into engineers, Year 5 and 6 pupils will use historical photographs and make onsite inspections of the Cathedral itself to piece together their evidence and present their findings to a Spire Inquiry panel. This will be followed by practical activities to create solutions to ensure the spire doesn't collapse again!
