David Constantine MBE is co-founder of Motivation, a charity which sets up self-sustaining projects to improve the quality of life of people with mobility disabilities in developing countries. David will deliver a lecture on the power of design in restricted settings, asking the question; ‘How does one make design have an impact in settings where the end users are unable to afford the proposed product; materials, skills and technology are in short supply and the concept and power of design is not understood or adequately resourced?’ David Constantine will speak on these issues through his 20 years of experience designing products in challenging settings.
