We are holding a whole school science day. children will be enteratinged first thing with a short science show, run by volunteers. THen, they will go off in small groups to attend 2 different workshops followed by a session inthe discovery zone where they can get hands on and involved in discovery new things. We are focusing activities on discovery and are centred around Changing Materials. Activities include making plastic milk, making lava lamps, volcanoes, slime making, creating strong structures, chromatography etc. There will be an interactive timeline where children can plot inventions chronologically and learn more about their inventors. We hope that the children will have fun and be enthusiastic about science with all the hands on activities we will provided. We will also have quizzes and competitions and will have a gadget shop for the children to purchase science themed toys.
