The week will begin with a workshop from Mad Science, to enthuse and engage the children. Then we will kick start our Inventions theme. We will be looking at famous inventions from around the world - popular and bizarre. Children will be presented with some whacky inventions as starters to lessons. They will generate the questions, using a question stem and then make suggestions to what they are. These will act as a stimulus for them to invent their own contraption. Each year groups will have a different theme (possibly relating to their topic). They will research inventions created, then use these as inspiration to design their own invention, make it and finally present it in a whole school exhibition. Parents will be invited in to work with their children as well as partake in a end of week good work assembly.
