A day In space

Tuesday, 19 March, 2013 - 09:00

Spaceflight UK presents a day of exciting and inspiring space activities for Malorees Junior School. "Space Is Big!" changes scales to move outward from the school, exploring the Earth and Moon, the Solar System, our galaxy and beyond. How far away is the Moon? How many planets do we really have? How big are the planets and stars? Demonstrations and activities will give everyone a new view of space. "Mission To Mars" covers an introduction to rocketry and looks at exploring the red planet. This workshop is a multiple-activity session which involves making and launching rockets, designing and building planetary landers, and more! The day ends with demonstration air rocket launchings!
