Eggstravaganza 2013

Wednesday, 20 March, 2013 - 13:00 to 16:00

St Mary’s School is holding its eighteenth 'egg race' challenge as part of National Science & Engineering Week. There will be 39 teams participating, all from primary schools in the local area. It is a fun way of exploring science and engineering by tackling a problem in an 'egg race' style, and solving it using a set amount of materials, which are provided. Last years challenge was to build a structure able to support a cream egg as high as possible using only 20 straws, and selotape. There are approximately 70 local primary schools invited to send a team for 4 year 6 students.
