HFJ dragons' den

Wednesday, 20 March, 2013 - 09:00 to Thursday, 21 March, 2013 - 15:30

To celebrate National Science & Engineering Week, Herbert Fowler Junior school will be hosting a two day event which will give children a hands on fun packed couple of days in which they will discover more about science and have a go at innovating their own inventions. The children will be split in to five groups of mixed abilities and ages and they will rotate through different activities throughout the 2 days. The first day will also be a fancy dress day in which children come to school dressed as a mad scientist. The two days will culminate in a school competition entitled HFJ Dragons' Den. The children have been working idividual projects at home for the last few months and this afternoon will give the children and their parents a chance to showcase their own inventions in the aim to bid for investment, as based on the popular television show. We will be working in conjunction with the local secondary school and other external links to make these 2 days a real spectacular for the children at Herbert Fowler.
