A hands on session all about owls and their bowels. As part of this outreach session an RSPB field teacher will visit your school and offer a rich learning opportunity for your pupils to develop their understanding of owls and other nocturnal wildlife. Pupils will get the chance to identify nocturnal animals by sound only, dissect real owl pellets to find out what owls have been eating and find out about the fate of our friend the field mouse. There are strong links to the foundation phase, KS2 science curriculum and ESDGC which will be outlined in the programme pack you receive on booking.
