Science show - Gases and the atmosphere
During National Science & Engineering Week the school will be organising a number of Science cross curricular lessons for students in both K.S 3 & K.S 4 these will include density boats in mathematics, the art of chemistry in cooking (food technology) and cola can pin hole cameras and photographic developing in applied arts. The week will culiminate on Friday 22nd March with a science show staged by the Science department called "Gases and the Atmosphere". This will be a 50 minute show looking at the extrodinary nature of our atmosphere and some of the gases that form it. We will be also looking at other gases like hydrogen and its properties and of course no science show could be without "dry ice". The idea will be to promote science across the school and engage our students, demonstrating that science is not just restricted to science lessons but "Science is all around".
