Since our launch event with Simon Singh in November 2004, the Oxford branch has organised several talks and debates targeted at various audiences including families and scientists. We have previously worked in partnership with the Oxford Trust and Bletchley Park, and are keen to hear from potential partner organisations. We are also on the lookout for people to join us in organising the future programme.
The Oxfordshire Branch of the British Science Association runs SciBar events the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Port Mahon, St Clements St, Oxford. SciBar is an evening of talking and debate in your local bar/cafe about hot science issues facing you today, all led by local experts. Literally, Science in a Bar!
If you live in Oxfordshire and are interested getting involved, please get in touch and learn more about our volunteering opportunities.
