Merseyside is rich in science - historically, academically, industrially and culturally, this area has, and continues to have, a disproportionately large impact on science and technology. However, that impact often goes unseen or unappreciated by the majority of local people. The British Science Association is there to redress that imbalance and promote an awareness of the role that science has in everybody's lives.

Discover and debate science monthly in Merseyside at the Liverpool SciBar, now 4 years old. Held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Ship and Mitre, Dale Street, Liverpool, the SciBar provide an opportunity to learn and talk about science in an informal and relaxed environment over a coffee or a pint.
