Welcome to British Science Week!

British Science Week (BSW, formerly National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW)) is a ten-day programme of science, technology, engineering and maths events and activities across the UK aimed at people of all ages.

BSW 2015 will take place 13 - 22 March.

Anyone can organise an event or activity, and the British Science Association helps organisers plan by providing free activity and support resources. We welcome and support any type of organiser, from schools to community groups and from parents to large organisations. The resulting programme of events is a hugely varied and eclectic mix.

New website launching this month

Our new website, www.britishscienceweek.org, will be launching this month and will include a new activity pack, updated how-to guides and a new event registration system. In the meantime, please make use of our current resources as you begin planning for BSW 2015.

BSW 2015 grants

If you are interested in applying for a BSW 2015 grant, please visit this page for our various grant guidelines. Grant applications will be linked with event registrations, which will open later this month.

New activity pack

Our flagship BSW 2015 activity pack, Science for all ages, is now available to download for free. The pack provides out-of-the box activities that are engaging, inexpensive and easy to do.  There are 15 short activities spanning a range of topics and complexity, so people of all ages can get involved. Each activity includes a brief introduction linking it to Britain, in celebration of our re-brand as British Science Week.
