The ESRC Festival of Social Science is a week-long nationwide festival which celebrates the social sciences. Taking place each autumn, the Festival offers a fascinating insight into some of the country's leading social science research and how it influences our social, economic and political lives - both now and in the future. Breakdown of the science timetable, pupils are working on a crime scene and the Sscience involved with solving a murder in year 9. Year 7 pupils are finding out about the Science in the home, using everyday items to complete some scientific experiments. There is also a trip to the Manchester Science and Industry museum for member of the STEM club. There are special assemblies with science demonstrations for year 7, 8 and 9. Talks are also being held for seperate scientists to discuss careers in both Science and engineering.
