Food engineering

Chocolate, ice-cream, jelly, beans, bread, peas, crisps and more! Every packaged product that you buy in the shops is brought to you by the essential work of engineers in the food industry. There are a variety of different job opportunities in food engineering, from designing the machines that assemble a chocolate bar to creating new flavours or making it all as environmentally friendly as possible.

You can read about these different jobs in our new section on food engineering.
