Funding available for National Science & Engineering Week
Are you a school or an organisation wanting to take part in National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW), 15–24 March 2013? We are offering funding via the Kick Start Fund and Grant Scheme for Scotland to help you run events and activities during the Week.
Free resources support are available online to help make your school's activities straight forward and spectacular.

Eligible schools can apply for a £200 grant to run science enrichment activities for NSEW 2013, create a buzz, and inspire staff, pupils and parents. It’s only a four-step application and can make NSEW the best week of the year.
To be eligible for a grant schools must fit into at least one of the following criteria:
- have a high proportion (30% or more) of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds
- be a small school based in a remote and rural location.
- have a high proportion (30% or more) of pupils eligible for free school meals

We are offering £200 to schools and £350 to organisations, along with access to free resources to help take the work out of organising their own NSEW event. All schools and organisations based in Scotland can apply. Preferences will be given to certain event types and specific areas. Look up for the selection preferences by clicking the link above. The NSEW grant scheme for Scotland is funded by The Scottish Government.
