The grants are worth up to £1500 and aim to support physics-based outreach activities in the UK and Ireland throughout 2013. More information about the grant scheme, including application forms, guidelines and summaries of past projects, is available online at, or by emailing Closing date: 22 April 2013.

Bioscience Communication Day - 12th June 2013

Charles Darwin House, London

Organised jointly by the Society of Biology, Biochemical Society and the Society for Experimental Biology this workshop offers a one-day programme of activities and discussion to help bioscience postgraduates and early career researchers to develop their science communication skills, wherever their interests lie. We have facilitators and presenters who will guide and advice you on your ideas to help increase your confidence to engage with non-academic audiences, whether it is through writing, presenting, social media or other types of communication.
