Barbara Hepworth's hospital drawings

In the late 1940s, Barbara Hepworth embarked on a series of studies of the operating theatre at the invitation of her friend, surgeon Norman Capener. To accompany Barbara Hepworth: The Hospital Drawings, at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester from 16 February - 2 June 2013, Nathaniel Hepburn, Curator of the Mascalls Gallery touring exhibition will introduce this little-known aspect of the artist's work.
