Thames Valley Branch
Based in Reading and organising events across the Thames Valley region, our branch has a successful partnership with Cafe Scientifique. For more information about Cafe Scientifique in Reading, please click here. A programme is available online at www.reading.ac.uk/cafesci. Please note that Deja Vu bar and grill has been renamed Monroe's, and their new website will be live soon.
In 2014, Reading Cafe Scienitifique will be kindly sponsored by Syngenta. Syngenta is one of the world's leading companies with more than 27,000 employees in some 90 countries dedicated to their purpose: Bringing plant potential to life. Their largest research centre is based in Bracknell, Berkshire and as a science based business they are proud to support Café Scientifique. Advances in science and technology are vital to address existing and future societal challenges. This forum creates the ideal opportunity for a wider audience to discuss new areas of science and encourages informed debate.”
As well as the popular Reading Café Scientifique series, the Thames Valley Branch also organises other events throughout the year. Each year the branch co-ordinates the programme for Reading Science Week which is part of National Science and Engineering Week.
