Science and sea monsters event

Dr Charles Paxton of St Andrews University will lead an informative and fun family-friendly science and sea monsters lecture with demonstrations that explores what science tells us about the existence of sea monsters. Admission includes the chance to visit our current exhibition (open till 4.30) investigating the existence of sea monsters and exploring the science behind the myths. Curated by Dr Charles Paxton of the University of St Andrews, the exhibition considers the truth of eyewitness accounts of creatures like the great sea serpent and the kraken and asks whether such monsters could actually exist – with sometimes surprising conclusions.
