All the classes will have high profile science teaching and learning on a daily basis during the week. Also, all the children will take part in the science day. All the children from Year 1 to Year 6 will be put into small mixed ability/mixed age groups. They will take part in a variety of science exploration and investigation activities lasting 25- 30 mins each. Some of the activities on offer will be: making fizzy lemon drink, making plastic balls, making sculptures with the magic plastic, exploring insulators and conductors. Nursery and Reception children will have their own science activity morning. They will be exploring and investigating bubbles, magic potions, magnets, ramps, balloons. It will be fun ! The event will be supported by the parent volunteers. The science and engineering week will end with the science Assembly, where all the children will share their science learning with the rest of the school.
