Glasgow Science Festival

Glasgow Science Festival (GSF) will return from the 6th – 16th June 2013. The theme is ‘Glasgow, Naturally’, tying in with Scottish Government’s ‘Year of Natural Scotland’. So expect lots of events exploring the environment, sustainability, ecology and conservation. And lots more. With our rich history with greats such as Lord Kelvin and celebrating current innovators, Glasgow is ‘naturally’ the home for Engineering. The ‘Glasgow Miracle’ describes the phenomenon of incredibly successful contemporary artists coming out of the City. Where better to feature art and science collaborative approaches to public engagement than ‘Glasgow, Naturally’! Launched in 2007, Glasgow Science Festival has grown to be one of the largest science festivals in the UK. GSF takes memorable events to non-traditional venues across the City and beyond where we engage with over 40,000 people from all ages and backgrounds, from novices to experts. Our main aim is to work with researchers and our partners to showcase the outstanding contribution Glasgow and Glasgow based researchers make to the worlds of science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.
