North East England Branch

Connect:
The Branch aims “to promote the better understanding and appreciation of science, engineering and technology among as wide a variety of people as possible.” There is no specific venue for activities but the Branch is strongly supported by the University of Newcastle where the Committee usually meets. We are now aiming to host branch meetings in other towns across the North East, so watch this space for more information! The Branch also holds events throughout the year in a variety of formats and topics, and is particularly is particularly active during National Science and Engineering Week. These events also contribute to Newcastle ScienceFest. Recently we have also become involved in organising Newcastle’s Cafe Scientifique programme.

The Branch has a jam-packed programme for 2012, including a wide variety of NSEW activities. Full details can be found in the programme, which can be found here!
For more information and updates, please feel free to check out the North East England branch's facebook page!

The Branch is currently recruiting new volunteers.  Please visit our volunteering opportunities page for more information.
