CREST is a project-based awards scheme for the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths).
It links the personal passions of students to curriculum-based learning.
UCAS endorse CREST Awards for inclusion in students’ personal statements – they’re well regarded, high-quality and a tangible recognition of success.
Last year alone, over 30,000 CREST Awards were undertaken – giving 11-19yr olds opportunities to explore real-world projects in an exciting way.
CREST Awards are supported by:

Additionally CREST Awards are supported by the Welsh Government and the Department for Education.
CREST can link into work experience placements, after-schools clubs or numerous linked schemes. Students can investigate or design and make, research a subject, or design a science communication project. This section describes what makes CREST so special and explains how you can get involved.
There are three different levels of CREST Award: Bronze, Silver and Gold. For a detailed overview of what's needed at each level see the CREST Award Levels [1] page.
If you are keen to get started then please go to the Local CREST Coordinator pages [2] to find the contact details for CREST representatives in your area.
Being a flagship scheme for STEM project work with young people, we work closely with a large number of partners and accredited schemes [3] so if you are not sure where to start, some of the existing links and project frameworks may provide a helping hand.
