All primary schools local to Mary Webb School will be sending some Y5/6 pupils to take part in a STEM day. They will have researched engineering in nature before coming and will present their findings. How are bullet trains inspired by kingfishers? How do dung beetles help us develop night vision? On the day at Mary Webb School, the students will take part in a competition with 'Architect Workshops' to build a skyscraper. The best design will win £100 for the school to spend on STEM resources.
