A parent, Dr King, will visit each class and demonstrate a science experiment involving a chemistry concept, then she will leave the children a chemistry challenge to explore in small groups. In the Lower School children will look at surface tension, the Middle School will look at the power of detergents and the Upper School will learn about chromatography. Children will also have the opportunity to ask Dr King questions about her role as a chemist to learn more about careers in science and to understand why science is an important part of our world.
