The school's lunchtime Engineering Club will be building catamarans from waste materials that float, ie packing foam, wood, plastic etc. The catamarans will then be raced in the school's hydrotherapy pool powered by inflated ballons attached to them. Different sizes and shapes of ballons are being used (large,small,round,long and modelling). Observations will be made to see which ballons propel the catarmarans the furthest and the fastest.
