Bragg about Science is a celebration of the achievements of W.H Bragg and W.L. Bragg and their work on x-ray diffraction. For the last 100 years x-ray diffraction has shaped the studies of biology, chemistry and physics. The day is aimed at lower sixth form students who are studying chemistry and biology, chemistry and physics, biology and physics, or just physics. The event will include an introductory talk on diffraction, a tour of the latest x-ray equipment at the University of Huddersfield, laser light experiments to simulate x-rays, model building using Bragg's published work, a keynote lecture on x-ray diffraction in biology and a quiz.
