An illustrated lecture by Professor Jim Matthew, Dept of Physics, University of York. Science is a serious business but it is important to laugh at it at regular intervals. Cartoons are a special form of humour in which a few squiggles can provoke both insight and amusement. This talk investigates how cartoons can not only lampoon scientists but also convey useful scientific messages. Come along for an evening of thought-provoking laughter!
