We invite you to come to a fun interactive family friendly event to celebrate the National Science & Engineering Week. The event aims to raise awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to young people and their parents. We hope to encourage parents and their children to consider careers in these industries, and of course, to have some fun while learning and trying something new. Activities/Workshops: - Raspberry Pi – a credit-card sized computer - Solar energy (car & house model kit) - Line Follower Robot – basic technology for self-driven cars - Flash Anzan competition – Practice your memory & mental calculation skills - Augmented reality – Come and interact with virtual reality! - Makey Makey – anything can be a video game controller like... a banana!! - Piezoelectricity - converting pressure, movement, vibration and sound to electricity! - Internal Combustion Engine – model kit - Paper circuit / flash light –make a paper circuit & a flash light made of paper - Rubiks cube – Come and learn how to do it. Can you do it with your eyes closed? - Forensic Science – Find out who stole the cookies!! - Fuel Cell Hydrogen (model kit) – a model monster truck that runs on salt water?! - Cryptography - the science of secret writing.
