BASED: British Science Association, Wellcome Wolfson Building, 165 Queen's Gate, London SW7 5HD.
TERMS: 35 hours per week. Fixed term contract from 28th January to 28th March 2014 (Flexible or part-time working will be considered for part of the contract).
SALARY: £19,127 to £22,000 per annum (pro rata)
Overall purpose of the job
The purpose of the job is to work closely with the Project Manager to deliver the National Science + Engineering Competition. The Assistant will play a key role in the success of this fast-moving and high profile project. The Competition Finals take place in March and the Assistant will be required to help prepare for this event.
The Assistant will be expected to remain on-site for 5 days at the finals of the Competition to be held at the Big Bang, 12th to 16th March 2014 at the NEC, Birmingham. During the event and in the days immediately before it, longer working hours can be expected.
