Yum yum! This activity pack is full of activities on the theme of food science. The “Food for thought” activities have all been designed for use in discrete 45–60 minute class or science club sessions.
Successful completion of each of these activities can count towards a CREST Star Investigator award [1]. There are 5 Star and SuperStar activities in the pack, one for each day of NSEW! In Star activities (usually for 5–7 year olds) children discuss, solve problems and share experiences.
In SuperStar activities (usually for 7–11 year olds) children work independently, discuss ideas and how to test them, solve simple problems and decide how to share results. Extra suggestions are also given for each activity for older or more advanced children.
