The Manchester Branch poster competition ran during National Science & Engineering Week 2013 and had many wonderful entries. A big thank you to all those pupils and schools that took part. The winning poster was by Sioned from Priestnall School:
Congratulations also for the runners-up: Maya, also from Priestnall School; Mitesh (Mathew Moss High School); and Rebecca M, Rebecca S, & Libby (Loreto Grammer School).

The Manchester Branch has a firm relationship with the Manchester Museum [6] supporting the monthly Big Saturdays with a science stand to match the theme. Branch volunteers have delivered hands on activities at a number of festivals and celebrations including the Kendal Calling Festival [7] and Live From Jodrell [8] where they delighted the audience with their home-made guitars and carrot kazoos. For Manchester Science Festival [9] 2012 the Branch held 'Sensored Science', an adult event with comedy, live band, pub quiz and maggot experiments!
